All manuscripts submitted to NEXUS: Global Journal of Multidisciplinary Research (NGJMR) are subject to plagiarism screening using reliable plagiarism detection software (e.g., Turnitin or iThenticate) to ensure the originality and integrity of scholarly work.
Similarity Index Policy
- The maximum acceptable similarity index is 20%
- Manuscripts exceeding this threshold may be:
- Returned to authors for revision, or
- Rejected without further review
Acceptable Similarity Criteria
Similarity may be considered acceptable if it originates from:
- Properly cited references and quotations
- Standard methodological descriptions
- Common technical phrases
However, excessive similarity in critical sections such as results, discussion, and conclusions is not permitted.
Types of Plagiarism Prohibited
The journal strictly prohibits:
- Direct plagiarism (copying text without proper citation)
- Self-plagiarism (reuse of previously published work without proper acknowledgment)
- Paraphrasing plagiarism without proper citation
- Data plagiarism or fabrication
Editorial Actions
If plagiarism is detected:
- Before review → The manuscript will be rejected or returned for correction
- During review → The review process may be halted
- After publication → The article may be retracted and publicly corrected
